Endpoints
An endpoint is a server that AuthNull protects. Open Targets → Endpoints in the PAM sidebar to see them.
Linux servers are added through an SSH gateway, with nothing installed on the server. The gateway reaches the server over SSH, scans its local accounts, manages their passwords and records every session.
The Endpoints List
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Host name | The endpoint's name. Click it to open the endpoint |
| Address | The address the gateway or agent uses to reach it |
| OS | The operating system |
| Gateway | The gateway that reaches it. Empty for agent endpoints |
| Status | Active · Online, or Offline with how long ago it was last reached |
| Connect | Opens a session. Shown only when a policy grants you an account on the endpoint |
| Recordings | Recordings of sessions on the endpoint |
| ⋮ | The row menu. See Endpoint Actions |
An endpoint is Online when AuthNull reached it in the last 20 minutes.
Use the filters above the list to narrow it:
| Filter | Values |
|---|---|
| State | Active, Inactive, Decommissioning, Decommissioned |
| OS | The operating system |
Add an Endpoint
Click Add endpoint and pick how AuthNull reaches the machine:
| Choice | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Linux server (via SSH gateway) | The default. No agent. See Add an Endpoint |
| Linux | A Linux machine with the AuthNull agent. See Agent-based endpoints |
| Windows | A Windows machine with the AuthNull agent. See Agent-based endpoints |
The gateway supports Linux only. Windows machines are added with the agent.
Endpoint Users
Targets → Endpoint Users lists the local accounts on all your endpoints in one place. See Local Users.
